Early Intervention (EI) is a statewide program that provides services for families with children under 3 years of age that may be experiencing delays meeting milestones. EI can support children with physical, cognitive, communication, social-emotional, or adaptive development. Sixteen different services are available with EI, such as developmental therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, etc. EI can accept referrals from anyone, including parents, child care providers, health professionals, home visitors, etc. Read more about EI here.
