Developmental Screenings

1 in 6 children under the age of five experience a developmental delay. Detecting any delay in your child’s development as early as possible leads to better chances of your child’s improvement. A developmental screening is not meant to be a diagnosis for your child, rather, help determine if a more depth analysis or referral for a specific program is needed.

Developmental Screenings are completed by trained early childhood professionals or health care providers. Screening tools, such as Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ) are made up of age-appropriate questions related to your child’s skills and development. These questions help take a look at how your child is doing in important areas, such as communication, physical ability, social skills, and problem solving. Read more here.
