The Parent Ambassador Program is a commitment for parents, grandparents, caregivers, and community members to help with outreach, engagement, and education on early childhood development. The team of Parent Ambassadors promote services, share resources, and encourage at-home learning practices like The Basics. The team represents Addison, Carol Stream, Glen Ellyn, Lombard, Naperville, Villa Park, West Chicago and Willowbrook.
Community of Practice: Through the Birth to Five Region 19 Early Childhood Needs Assessment, parents and caregivers in DuPage County shared a desire to connect and collaborate with community leaders in safe, judgment-free spaces. The Community of Practice brings that vision to life, uplifting family voices, empowering Parent Leaders, and helping parents become strong advocates for their children and communities. In partnership with the Birth to Five Family Council and early childhood collaboratives, AOK Parent Ambassadors are creating a shared space where families and community partners come together to strengthen DuPage County.
